Businesses over the years have provided Kerry with an outlet for exploring his deepest passions.

• Real Food — reintroducing people to the vibrancy of the kitchen/garden connection
• Real Places — creating places that sustain us and meet our need for beauty, and
• Real People — exploring ways to help all of us reach our highest potential

When talking about where he is at the moment business-wise, he says the following; “These are exciting times. On one end of the spectrum are all the new emerging initiatives in renewable energy, green building and sustainability.or the horizontal aspect of community. On the vertical aspect however, as Peter Russel says “The crisis facing humanity today is, at its root, a crisis of consciousness. [and] We are being called to put into practice the perennial wisdom of the ages.”

As we watch long standing institutions fail in the world around us, the truth of this quote from Albert Einstein is apparent. “We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” For Kerry this means that we’re going to have to bring higher levels of awareness to everything we do as we endeavor to reinvent ourselves, our businesses and our communities in the times ahead.

Kerry’s next project at Highland Lake is creating an Institute to seek out the latest resources in the evolution of consciousness applicable for each of those arenas, and to make those available. The first workshops in those areas are coming together now and details are available on the web site.
