Suzanne Caplan was a lemonade stand owner before age 10, and by her mid-20s was CEO of a family manufacturing company. Two decades later, she sold the business to publish 12 books on entrepreneurship, including Saving Your Business (Prentice Hall), Streetwise Finance and Accounting (Adams Media), and Building Big Profits in Real Estate (John Wiley & Sons). Caplan is a member of the board of the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center at The Wharton School. She trains SBDC clients and staff on helping entrepreneurs develop skills needed for business success. She has also been a presenter at three Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) Annual Conferences.
Caplan speaks to 50+ groups a year throughout the United States on a variety of business topics. She has been interviewed on CNBC, local radio and TV stations, radio stations throughout the United States as well as Bloomberg Radio; and quoted in local as well as national papers and magazines. Her experienced, savvy, and articulate explanation of the world of the entrepreneur resonates with readers and audiences.
