Bob Reasoner
Robert (Bob) Reasoner has devoted much of his professional life to enhancing human effectiveness. He has had 50 years of experience in education, serving as teacher, principal and school district superintendent. He is known throughout the world as a pioneer and authority in the field of self-esteem. He founded the California Center for Self-Esteem in 1981, was one of the founders and first presidents of the National Association for Self-Esteem and the International Council for Self-Esteem, working with over 75 nations. He has written several books and articles and has served as a consultant and trainer in more than twenty different countries. He is the author of the recent book Parenting With Purpose: Five Keys to Raising Children With Values and Vision, honored as one of the outstanding parenting books in 2007. He is also the author of the school curriculum Building Self-Esteem: A Comprehensive Program for Schools, a program now used widely throughout the world and translated into six different languages. He has been honored by both the Senate and State Assembly in California for his contributions to education and was selected as National Educator of the Year in 1992 by the National Association for Self-Esteem. His achievements are listed in Who’s Who in American Education. He continues to conduct training for parents and educators.
