Aaron Cooper

Aaron Cooper, Ph.D., has been counseling families for over thirty years. From 1985 until 2003, he was a member of the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco. He received a bachelor's degree cum laude from Harvard University, a master's in teaching from Northwestern University, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Loyola University of Chicago.

Aaron is currently the Director of FamilyMattersOnline for the Family Institute at Northwestern University, and he’s also the co-author of the book I Just Want My Kids to Be Happy! Why You Shouldn’t Say It, Why You Shouldn’t Think It, What You Should Embrace Instead.
